Wat Koh Loi stands on the rise in the middle of Ko Loi in Sriracha — a temple local people come to and a natural stop for anyone walking the island. The buildings mix Thai and Chinese architecture, reflecting the community around it.
The viewpoint
It is about a ten-minute climb from ground level to the top, where Sriracha bay opens up in every direction: the islands, the pier and the town behind. Late afternoon is best for both light and temperature.
There is no admission charge, and no boat needed — the island is bridged to the shore.
Conduct
This is a working temple. Dress modestly, remove your shoes before entering the buildings, and keep your voice down inside the grounds.
