Bangsaen Walking Street is a night market near the beachfront, open Friday to Sunday only, gathering cooked-to-order food, fried snacks, sweets, drinks and stalls of clothing and souvenirs, with the food and goods sections kept separate.
The feel of it
It is an ordinary Thai night market, and the crowd is mostly Thai visitors and students from Burapha University — so prices are market prices rather than tourist ones. It peaks in the early evening at weekends.
It works best as somewhere to eat after an afternoon on the beach rather than as a destination in itself.
Before you go
- Days and hours shift with the season and municipal notices — check first
- Most stalls take cash
- Parking is shared with the beachfront and fills early on a weekend night
