Chatuchak Market Chonburi is a large evening market on Sukhumvit Road in Huai Kapi, gathering clothing, household goods, plants, pets and a food section in one place. It borrows its name from the Bangkok original because it works the same way — many categories under one market — though it is smaller and serves mainly local shoppers.
How it is laid out
The food section is the busiest part, running from snacks to cooked-to-order dishes and sweets, at market rather than mall prices. Clothing and household goods are budget-focused: a section to browse rather than one to come to for a specific thing.
The plant and pet sections are what people come deliberately for, ornamental plants especially, with several long-standing sellers.
Before you go
- Evening trading, and closed on Mondays
- Not every section opens every trading day — check first if you are coming for one in particular
- Parking is generous, but traffic in and out is slow early on a weekend evening
- Most stalls take cash
