Namtok Chan Ta Then is a multi-tier waterfall in forest at Bang Phra, Sriracha, and the place local people come to swim when the water is running.
Season decides everything
Flow tracks the season closely — fullest at the end of the rains, and in the dry season there may be almost nothing. Coming at the wrong time is the difference between a waterfall and dry rock. Check conditions before every trip.
The climb
Reaching the upper tiers means a fair amount of scrambling over rock, not a paved path.
- Wear shoes with grip — wet rock here is slippery
- Not suitable for very small children or anyone unsteady on their feet, especially higher up
- Take care during heavy rain; the water can rise quickly
Facilities
At the bottom there is a campground and food. Take your rubbish out or use the bins — this is a natural area.
