Jomtien is the long beach south of Pattaya, noticeably quieter than Pattaya beach itself, and the one families and longer-stay visitors tend to choose.
How it differs
Pattaya beach backs onto the nightlife and a dense run of shops. Jomtien is longer and more spread out, so finding a spot is easier and the noise is lower. A promenade runs along the shore for walking or running early and late.

Parking is on-street along the beach road and fills at weekends. Before ten in the morning is when the sand is emptiest.
