Nam Sai Beach sits inside a naval area in Sattahip, and it shows: the sand, the way the vendors are arranged and the general order of the place are noticeably tidier than an open public beach.
Why it suits families
The water is clear — as the name says — and stays shallow a long way out, so small children can swim while an adult still stands. A line of casuarina trees along the sand gives shade through the day, which beaches without tree cover cannot offer.
Loungers and food stalls are available, so you need not carry everything in.
Before you go
Because it lies within a military area, access rules and opening hours are set by the unit, can change, and the beach may close occasionally for operational reasons. Check before every visit.
