Sai Kaew sits inside a naval area in Sattahip, which is why it is cleaner and more orderly than an open public beach — in its sand, its vendors and the way the space is used.
The beach
The sand is white and the water clear in a way the Pattaya-side beaches are not, being further from the city and under managed access. Deckchairs and food are available, so you need not carry everything in.
Getting in
- You pass through a military checkpoint — bring ID or a passport
- Hours are set by the unit, and it may close occasionally for operational reasons
- Follow the signs and any instruction from staff
- Busy at weekends; come early
Check before every trip — the conditions of access can change.
