Ko Rin lies off Sattahip, further out than Ko Lan — which is why the water is clearer than at the islands nearer the city, and why diving trips come this far.
Getting there
No scheduled boat. Come on a tour that includes Ko Rin, or charter. The distance is greater than the Pattaya islands, so it costs more and takes longer.
Worth knowing
- It suits a full-day snorkelling trip rather than a short stop
- Facilities are limited — bring everything
- Do not stand on or touch the coral; carry all rubbish out
- Sea and wind change with the season — always check with the boat operator
