Sra Si Liam is an ancient rectangular reservoir in an old settlement area of Phanat Nikhom, counted as part of Mueang Phra Rot, the Dvaravati-period community in this district.
Why it matters
A pond of this kind is evidence of water management in an early settlement — cutting a reservoir to a set shape implies planning and organised labour rather than a natural feature. Such ponds are commonly found alongside Dvaravati sites in central and eastern Thailand.
What is there now
Today it is open ground within the community. The pond is small and there is little in the way of interpretation on site, so the visit is brief — one for people interested in the history, taken together with the other sites around Phanat Nikhom rather than as a destination on its own.
