Chong Isariyaphon is a cleft on Ko Si Chang opening west to the sea, adjoining Chong Khao Khat, and one of the island's most-visited viewpoints and sunset spots.
The name
It was given by King Chulalongkorn, in the same period the royal residence was built on the island. In everyday speech people tend to call this whole stretch Chong Khao Khat.
Walking it
There is a path along the cliff edge with marked viewing points, continuing the short distance to Chong Khao Khat. Take care near the edge, particularly in strong wind.
There are restaurants and toilets nearby — an advantage over the island's other viewpoints, which have no facilities at all.
