Laem Tham Phang is on the western side of Ko Si Chang, and its feature is a natural rock arch eroded clean through, framing the sea beyond — the island's most photographed view.
Tham Phang beach
The same area holds Tham Phang beach, the island's main stretch of sand — a rare thing on Ko Si Chang, where most of the shore is rock. There are restaurants and deckchairs for hire on the beach.
Before you go
- The path down is steep — not for anyone unsteady on their feet
- Expect to queue for the arch at weekends; come early for a clear shot
- No toilets at the viewpoint itself
- Free entry
- Late afternoon gives the best light and the biggest crowd at the same time
