The purple bridge links the Sriracha shore to Ko Loi, and has become a photo stop for the simple reason that the colour of the railings reads sharply against the sea and sky. It is the image people carry away from Sriracha.
Timing
Late afternoon draws the most people, for the soft light and the sunset behind it. Crossing takes only a few minutes and leads straight on into the park on Ko Loi.
Worth knowing
- Numbers on the bridge are limited — expect to queue when it is busy
- Festivals and long weekends get very crowded; avoid those if photographs are the point
- It is open water and open sky: windy, with no shade
- Combines with Wat Koh Loi and the island park in one visit
