Wat Khao Tabaek sits on a hill in the Sriracha district, used both for meditation practice and as a local merit-making temple. The elevation gives the grounds a view over the surrounding country and air noticeably cooler than the flat.
What people come to see
- The wishing-ribbon bridge, its rails filled with ribbons tied by visitors
- A skywalk viewpoint projecting out over the hillside
Getting up
The climb is fairly steep. There is a choice between walking the steps and driving the road — take the road if walking is difficult or you are with older relatives. Parking is free.
Conduct
Dress modestly and keep quiet, particularly around the ordination hall and during meditation sessions. Ask at the temple about its hours and activities.
